Long
Island Chiefs Baseball
Chiefs - In the beginning.
The Chiefs started with an one 11 year old team in summer of 2006. The players primarily came from Massapequa. They were introduced to an advanced league and posted a 1 and 11 record, winning the last game of the season. Although they won only 1 game their first season, the team stuck together. They played fall ball and 12 year old spring ball. The more they played the better they became. In the Summer of 2007 the team went undefeated posting an 11-0 record with 1 tie. It was a terrific ending to 12 year old baseball on a 75 foot diamond.
The fall of 2007 brought on a new challenge for the team. They wanted to test their skills on a 90' diamond and the team experienced some player turnover. The kids practiced with intensity and had success on the field posting a 2 and 2 record with 4 rain outs.
Chiefs
Transition
For the Spring of 2008 the team is formally being recognized as Long Island Chiefs Baseball. We picked up a couple new players for the spring season and are finalizing our roster. In 2008 the Long Island Chiefs Baseball Organization will transition to a not-for-profit organization. The organization currently fields a competitive travel baseball team of 13 and 14 year olds from Massapequa NY and the surrounding Long Island communities.
The Long Island Chiefs Baseball organization stresses sportsmanship, teamwork, and a dedication to practice with intensity. For more information about the Long island Chiefs Baseball Organization read our Mission Statement

Off
season
Try to setup an indoor skills training clinic during the
months of January and February that is open to the public. The
Clinic will be a great way for players to gain a competitive
advantage for their spring season. The clinic is scheduled to
immediately precede our spring team tryouts.
